Tottenham vs Crystal Palace predictions: Tottenham line-up

It’s finally here and Tottenham finally get to play a Premier League game in their brand new stadium. Their recent loss to Liverpool would have hurt them, especially given the way the club lost the game.

But despite that, the hope the new stadium provides should be more than enough for Mauricio Pochettino to lead his team forward. The loss to Liverpool saw Arsenal go above Tottenham.

However, Spurs do play again tomorrow and with just one point in their last five games, they are in dire trouble. Tottenham need a win, and their first game at new venue could help change their fortunes.

It is make or break time and if Tottenham have any dreams of playing in the Champions League next season, they need to pull up their socks.

Team News

Harry Winks, Eric Dier and Serge Aurier are still out with long-term injuries, although no return date has been set. Barring that, Mauricio Pochettino has a fully fit team at his disposal.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

He didn’t have the best game against Liverpool and struggled at times to keep up but despite that, expect him to make the starting 11.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Injury issues have seen the Belgian play just 17 Premier League games this season, but he has played 9 out of the last 10 games.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Another Belgian international, Alderweireld has missed only three games this season and should keep his place.

Juan Foyth (CB)

With Davinson Sanchez playing his worst game of the season, there is a chance that 21-year-old, Juan Foyth would get a chance to impress.

Kieran Trippier (RWB)

With Serge Aurier still injured, the English right-back is Pochettino’s only choice at the moment.

Moussa Sissoko (CM)

His improvement over the last few months has been visible and should start despite the fact that both Victor Wanyama and Oliver Skipp are available.

Dele Alli (CM)

A big influence since his return from injury, the 22-year-old will have to find his goalscoring form if Spurs are to finish in the top four.

Danny Rose (LWB)

Another player who struggled against Liverpool, Rose will have a lot to prove if handed another start.

Christian Eriksen (RAM)

Easily Tottenham’s best player when in form, the Danish midfielder has had his ups and downs.

Heung-Min Son (LAM)

Why he didn’t start the big game against Liverpool only Maurico Pochettino knows but the South Korean should find his way back into the fold.

Harry Kane (CF)

Yet another player who struggled to make an impact, Tottenham’s top scorer has done well for his club and country but needs to buck up and show why he’s considered to be one of the best strikers in the world.

Siddhant Lazar

Tom Landry once said "Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable." Football is and always will be the beautiful game. What every child understands, yet every adult struggles to, is that it is a game that defines the nature of the universe. But that's just me.
