Predicted Bournemouth line-up to face Man United in the Premier League

Bournemouth will welcome Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday as Eddie Howe hopes his team continues the brilliant run in the Premier League.

The Cherries booked their place into the quarter-finals of Carabao Cup competition with a 2-1 win against Norwich on Wednesday.

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth have outscored every team outside of the top four this season and will fancy their chances against a resurgent Manchester United side that are unbeaten in their last three Premier League games.

Team News

Club captain Simon Francis could miss the Premier League match on Saturday lunchtime after he limped off during his side’s victory over Norwich City in the Carabao Cup.

Josh King has been nursing an ankle problem that saw him miss the Carabao Cup game and could miss the game against his former club at the weekend as well.

Probable Bournemouth XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Eddie Howe

Asmir Begovic (GK)

Begovic has been a reliable presence between the sticks for the Cherries. He is an undoubted starter for the game.

Steve Cook (RCB)

With Francis a big doubt, Cook will have to marshal the troops against a revitalized Manchester United on Saturday.

Nathan Ake

Nathan Ake (CB)

Ake has been in brilliant form since the start of the season. He has been a rock at the back and will have to be at his best to keep the United attackers at bay.

Charlie Daniels (LCB)

With skipper Francis a doubt, Daniels could complete Bournemouth’s back three.

Diego Rico (LWB)

Rico is an attacking full-back who is a good crosser of the ball. But he is yet to fully adapt to the Premier League

Adam Smith (RWB)

Smith is a feisty little character who should be looking to add width to the team and put dangerous balls into the United box.

Jefferson Lerma (CM)

A strong and aggressive defensive midfielder, Lerma protects the back four and is adept at breaking the play.

Lewis Cook

Lewis Cook (CM)

Cook is a technically-gifted midfielder that is skilled at spraying passes all over the pitch. He is a certain starter for Saturday’s game.

Ryan Fraser (LW)

Fraser has been in excellent form this season and should maintain the same against Mourinho’s Red Devils.

David Brooks (RW)

Brooks has justified Bournemouth’s decision to sign him in the summer. A tricky winger, he should aim to cause problems to United’s shaky backline.

Callum Wilson (ST)

Wilson has been full of goals and assists this season. He is certain to lead Bournemouth’s attack on Saturday.
