Predicted Wolves line-up to face Liverpool in the FA Cup

Wolves will be aiming to get back to winning ways after suffering a league defeat to Crystal Palace when they face mighty Liverpool in the FA Cup this Monday night. The Old Gold have made a great start to life in the Premier League, and a cup run would be a grave bonus for their supporters.

They are up against Jurgen Klopp’s men, who are on top of the league and as in the case every year, one of the favourites to win this competition. Hence, it won’t be easy for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men. Expect the Portuguese to make changes to the regular starting line-up.

Team News

Diogo Jota is still injured. Romain Saiss got injured in the game against Palace and expected to be out for a little while.

Predicted Wolves XI

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo

John Ruddy (GK)

Rui Patricio is expected to get a rest and Ruddy will take the gloves for this cup tie.

Conor Coady

Leander Dendoncker (RCB)

He has played cup games so far this season, hence, this is a match for him to start.

Conor Coady (CB)

The captain has been a sturdy figure at the back for the team. Expect him to keep his place in the team regardless of the rotation.

Willy Boly (LCB)

Kortney Hause played in their previous cup tie against Leicester, however, he is expected to leave for Aston Villa. Hence, we may see Boly keep his place.

Ruben Vinagre (LWB)

He started a few games when Jonny Otto was absent due to injury. The Portuguese should start this cup tie.

Ruben Neves

Morgan Gibbs-White (CM)

This youngster has impressed us all whenever he stepped onto the field. He came off the bench in the previous game and is expected to start on Monday.

Ruben Neves (CM)

Another player who was on the bench in the last game and played the last few minutes. He should be starting this cup tie.

Jonny (RWB)

Matt Doherty deserves a rest as he has been one of the key players in the team in every league game. We may see Jonny being shifted to his favoured right wing-back position.

Adama Traore (RW)

He has been starting the last few league games but was benched for the previous one. Expect the rapid winger to start this game.

Ivan Cavaleiro

Leo Bonatini (ST)

Raul Jimenez is expected to get a game off, meaning a chance for Bonatini to shine in this cup tie.

Ivan Cavaleiro (LW)

He didn’t start most of the league games during this hectic festive period, hence, the Portuguese should be fresh to have a crack at this one, just like the previous game.
