Predicted Bournemouth line-up to face Brighton in the Premier League

Bournemouth will host Brighton in the Sea Coast derby at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.

The Cherries have lost six of their last seven and will look to get back on track at the weekend. They also got dumped out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Just two points separate both Bournemouth and Brighton in the standings. Brighton, meanwhile, will head into the Sea Coast derby on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in the league.

Team News

Adam Smith, Lewis Cook and Dan Gosling are all long-term concerns for Bournemouth.

Simon Francis missed the League Cup quarter-final defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday but Tyrone Mings recovered in time to be on the bench.

Eddie Howe

Probable Bournemouth XI

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Eddie Howe

Asmir Begovic (GK)

Begovic is the undisputed No.1 in goal for the Cherries and should start against Brighton.

Steve Cook (RCB)

Cook has been a permanent fixture in the Bournemouth rearguard this season. He should retain his place in the team.

Nathan Ake (CB)

Strong in the air and robust in the challenge, Ake will look to keep things tight at the back against the Seagulls at the weekend.

Charlie Daniels

Charlie Daniels (LCB)

With Simon Francis doubtful, Daniels should start in the three-man defence as Bournemouth look win the Sea Coast bragging rights.

Jordon Ibe (RWB)

Ibe has been in and out of the team this season but on Saturday, he could be deployed in a makeshift right wing-back role.

Diego Rico (LWB)

Rico started the League Cup defeat at Chelsea and could get another chance on Saturday to showcase his qualities.

Jefferson Lerma (CM)

Lerma is a powerful midfielder who will look to break Brighton’s attacks. However, he’ll have to maintain his calm in such an intense derby atmosphere.

Andrew Surman (CM)

Surman has the ability to pick out a pass and use his creativity to split open defences. He should start alongside Lerma in central midfield.

David Brooks (RW)

Brooks has been a top performer for Bournemouth and will add a lot of creativity to their attack. He will look to stretch Brighton’s defence with his speed and movement.

Ryan Fraser

Ryan Fraser (LW)

Fraser is an indispensable figure for this Bournemouth side and should retain his place in the starting XI against Brighton.
