Predicted Sheffield United line-up to face Bolton in the Championship

Sheffield United will be aiming to get back to winning ways after dropping points in their last two games, when they face Bolton at Bramall Lane this Saturday.

Chris Wilder’s men twice came from behind to earn a profitable draw against Norwich City last Saturday. They are third in the table, three points behind the second-placed Canaries.

Hence, the Blades should be looking to beat Bolton and revive their chances of getting automatically promoted. On the other hand, the Wanderers are in the relegation zone and are in a desperate scrap to stay in the Championship.

Thus, they will fight for everything from now until the end of this season. So, we may see a close encounter even though Sheffield United are the favourites to get the three points at home.

Team News

Not much to report in terms of injuries as most of the players are fit. Jake Wright is back in training while Ben Woodburn is back at Liverpool.

Probable Sheffield United XI

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Chris Wilder

Dean Henderson (GK)

He is their first-choice stopper and should continue to be the case for this weekend as well.

George Baldock (RWB)

The wing-back is a bundle of energy, making runs up the pitch to support the attacks and also come back to help the defence out. He is expected to start this weekend.

Chris Basham

Chris Basham (RCB)

He is one of the warriors at the back who does everything to stop the attackers from scoring. He links up well with Baldock on the right-hand side.

John Egan (CB)

Egan has had a decent season so far at the back. Despite conceding two goals against Norwich, he was one of the better players in the team.

Jack O’Connell (LCB)

He completes the back-three for United that has done well for the team this season.

Enda Stevens (LWB)

Just like Baldock, Stevens is also a bundle of energy down the left-hand side for the Blades. He is a certain starter for this league game.

Jon Fleck (CM)

Fleck played very well in the previous game against Norwich and should keep his place in the midfield.

Oliver Norwood (CM)

The previous league game wasn’t Norwood’s best but he has had a decent season thus far and would keep his place in the team,

Kieran Dowell (CAM)

He struggled a bit to impose his game against the Canaries. However, expect Wilder to stick with him for this game and see how things pan out.

Billy Sharp

Billy Sharp (ST)

Scored a brace against Norwich to lift his tally to 18 league goals this season, with 17 games still to go. He is an ever-present danger to the opposition.

Gary Madine (ST)

The loanee from Cardiff City did well on his debut last week. He is expected to partner Sharp up front again.
