Manchester City vs Tottenham predictions: Tottenham line-up

After getting the better of Manchester City in the Champions League, Tottenham would be high on confidence as they travel to the Etihad for a Premier League tie on Saturday.

A victory is massively important for Mauricio Pochettino’s side to keep their top-four hopes alive and any slip-up could potentially see them drop to fifth place by the end of the week.

Team News

Mauricio Pochettino has a long list of casualties as star striker Harry Kane along with Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela, Serge Aurier and Vincent Janssen all ruled out for the big game on Saturday.

Harry Winks and Eric Dier are massive doubts for the game too as they face a late fitness test to confirm their availability for the trip to Manchester at the weekend.

Hugo Lloris (GK)

The Frenchman pulled off a few outstanding saves to keep Spurs in the tie against City and he should be at his best again to deny Manchester City on Saturday.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

The Belgian has been a massive part of the Spurs backline over the last few years and he should start on the right-hand side of the back three at the weekend.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

The former Ajax man came off the bench in the midweek game but he is expected to return to the starting lineup on Saturday.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

A real leader at the back, Vertonghen’s presence will be hugely important for Spurs to get anything out of the game against Manchester City in their backyard.

Victor Wanyama (CDM)

The former Celtic powerhouse should retain his place in the middle of the park with injuries to both Dier and Winks.

The Englishman has cemented his place in the squad ahead of Ben Davies and he is expected to continue there on Saturday.

Dele Alli (CAM)

Alli’s late driving runs into the box has constantly troubled his opposition in the past and Pochettino will be hoping that it will unsettle City’s defence on Saturday.

Christian Eriksen (CAM)

The Dane’s creativity will be Tottenham’s most important asset against City on Saturday and he should produce one of his best performances on Saturday for Spurs to come away with 3 points.

Kieran Trippier (RWB)

With Serge Aurier out injured, Spurs are left with just Tripper and the Englishman should be looking to stake his claim as the first choice for the club.

Son Heung-min (ST)

Tottenham’s superstar in the midweek, Son scored a brace against Manchester City and he will be looking to add to his tally again on Saturday.

Lucas Moura (ST)

Fresh off of a hattrick in the Premier League against Huddersfield last weekend, Lucas will be looking to continue his fine form and his goals will be of massive importance, especially in Harry Kane’s absence.
