Predicted West Brom line-up to face Wigan Athletic in the Championship

West Brom are one of the frontrunners to lift the title at the end of the season this time out. The Baggies will be rampant after their 4-1 win against Reading last time out. Darren Moore’s men are only behind Sheffield United in the table and a win against Wigan Athletic this weekend should do them a world of good.

West Brom travel to the DW Stadium, but Wigan have shown poor form over the last few weeks. Moore will be aiming to maintain pace at the top as he bids for a swift return to the Premier League.

Team News

New signing Bakary Sako is still unavailable for this weekend. Matt Phillips is also a major doubt for this game.

Probable West Brom XI

Manager: Darren Moore

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Sam Johnstone (GK)

Johnstone has been excellent in goal for the Baggies since making the switch from Manchester United. He should continue in goal for this game.

Sam Johnstone

Craig Dawson (RCB)

Dawson has looked impressive at the back for the Baggies. He really has flourished in a 3-man backline.

Ahmed Hegazi (CB)

West Brom’s leader at the back will play a crucial role in taking them back to the Premier League.

Kyle Bartley (LCB)

The 27-year-old picked up his first goal for the club in the previous game and has continued his fine form at the back.

Tyrone Mears (RM)

Mears has looked good in place of the injured Matt Phillips. He should continue on the right-hand side of the midfield for this one as well.

Ahmed Hegazi

Jake Livermore (RCM)

Livermore needs to improve his performance in the final third. His passing has been fruitful but the midfielder seems to be making bad decisions while going forward.

Chris Brunt (LCM)

Brunt is yet to hit his best form this season but has improved over the last few weeks. He should return to the line-up in place of Gareth Barry.

Kieran Gibbs (LM)

Gibbs has been one of the Baggies’ best players this season. He really is flourishing under Darren Moore.

Harvey Barnes (CAM)

Barnes continues to turn heads with his superb performances. The youngster picked up a goal in the last game against Reading as well.

Kieran Gibbs

Jay Rodriguez (ST)

The striker finally looks like his old self and is currently in the form of his life. He will lead the line for this game.
