Predicted Man United line-up to face Bournemouth in the Premier League

Manchester United return to Premier League action in Saturday’s early kick-off as they travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth.

The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last three Premier League games, a run triggered by a last-gasp win over Newcastle United before the international break.

A stoppage-time Ross Barkley strike saw Manchester United draw 2-2 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but Jose Mourinho’s side returned to winning ways against Everton last weekend.

United’s opponents Bournemouth, meanwhile, are in rampaging form at the moment and come into Saturday’s clash on the back of a 3-0 win at Fulham.

Team News

Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard returned to the side against Everton, but Marouane Fellaini still remains out. Diogo Dalot is still sidelined with a knock and Scott McTominay could also miss the game with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Antonio Valencia could return to the squad after a successful mouth operation.

Probable Manchester United XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jose Mourinho

David De Gea (GK)

De Gea has kept just one clean sheet in 10 league games this season. He will be determined to keep one when United play Bournemouth at the weekend.

Ashley Young (RB)

Young has done well at right-back and will retain his place in the starting XI.

Chris Smalling (CB)

Smalling conceded a cheap penalty against Everton to help the visitors claw back into the game. Luckily, United held on to three points and that could see Smalling continue in central defence on Saturday.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

Lindelof has put in a string of impressive displays in the defence lately. The Swede is slowly regaining his confidence and could continue partnering Smalling in central defence.

Luke Shaw (LB)

Shaw has become an indispensable figure to Mourinho and is a certain starter at Bournemouth.

Nemanja Matic (CDM)

Matic’s performances have not been up to his usual high standards, with poor decision-making and lack of agility resulting in greater pressure upon the porous backline. However, he is one of Mourinho’s favourites and could retain his place in the team.

Fred (LCM)

The lively Brazilian has the tenacity which has been ominously absent from many performances this season and would offer the team with a different dimension from the midfield.

Paul Pogba (RCM)

Pogba has been good in the last few games for United but he needs to simplify his game a bit more going forward.

Anthony Martial (LW)

United’s man in form, Martial has four goals in last three games. The Frenchman possesses fantastic dribbling skills and is direct with his approach. A sure-shot starter for Saturday’s game.

Anthony Martial

Juan Mata (RW)

Mata has been integral to United’s resurgence in form. The Spaniard is a creative wizard, often linking up play between the midfield and the attack.
