Predicted Celtic line-up to face Livingston in the Scottish Premiership

Celtic take on Livingston at the Almondvale Stadium on Sunday after defeating RB Leipzig in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Hoops have hit their stride in the Scottish Premiership of late, closing the gap on leaders Hearts to just one point. And Brendan Rodgers’ side will be high on confidence after toppling German club RB Leipzig in Europe.

Livingston, on the other hand, were flying high in the early weeks of the season but back-to-back defeats in the last two games have left them eighth on the table.

Team News

Captain Scott Brown remains sidelined with a troublesome knee. Leigh Griffiths, Nir Bitton and Olivier Ntcham are also ruled out of the Livingston clash, while Eboue Kouassi is out for the season.

Daniel Arzani suffered a nasty injury on his Celtic debut, suffering a tear on the anterior cruciate ligament, ruling him out for this campaign.

Probable Celtic XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Craig Gordon (GK)

Gordon has been Celtic’s No.1 for some years now and should start on Sunday.

Mikael Lustig (RB)

Lustig needs to start putting in solid performances at right-back or he risks losing his place in the team.

Dedryck Boyata (CB)

Boyata is Celtic’s best defender without any second thoughts and is a certain starter for Sunday’s fixture.

Filip Benkovic (CB)

Benkovic is starting to show his real worth in Celtic colours. He is expected to start alongside Boyata in the heart of the defence.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

Tierney has been a reliable performer for Celtic this season. At left-back, he is a certain starter.

Callum McGregor (CM)

McGregor has done very well in central midfield in the absence of Brown, Ntcham and Kouassi. He should retain his place in the team.

Ryan Christie (CM)

Christie has been a key player in Celtic’s recent upturn in form. Intelligent and creative, he would look to play those defence-splitting passes on Sunday.

James Forrest (RW)

Forrest could cause Livingston defenders problems with his pace and unpredictability. On his day, he is just unstoppable.

Tom Rogic (CAM)

Rogic links the play between the midfield and the attack from the No.10 role. A creative player, the Austrian will look to continue his good form and deliver the goods against Livingston.

Scott Sinclair (LW)

Sinclair is slowly finding the form that made him a terror in his debut season at Parkhead. He is a certain starter on the left wing.

Odsonne Edouard (ST)

Celtic’s man in form, Edouard has been banging plenty of goals lately and should lead the line for his team on Sunday.
