Predicted Wolves line-up to face Brighton in the Premier League

After suffering their first home defeat of the season against Watford, Wolves will be eager to get back to winning ways when they play Brighton this weekend at the Amex Stadium. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were surprisingly sub-par against the Hornets, resulting in them losing the game 2-0.

The Portuguese would be hoping to gear his team up for the game versus the Seagulls. The Old Gold are currently ninth in the league table, with 15 points from nine games. Brighton are coming into this game on the back of an important away win against Newcastle United. Hence, it won’t be easy for Wolves.

Team News

The good thing about this Wolves squad is that they are a fit bunch. Nuno has a full-strength squad to pick his line-up from.

Probable Wolves XI

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo

Rui Patricio (GK)

The Portuguese has been a fabulous addition to the team this season. He is already right up there for the golden glove race.

Ryan Bennett (RCB)

Bennett is a part of a defence which is generally water-tight; a testament to everyone involved.

Conor Coady

Conor Coady (CB)

The captain has been fantastic for the team so far, be it the defending or playing the long diagonal balls from the back. He was nervy against Watford but it can be singled out as a one-off.

Willy Boly (LCB)

The Frenchman is in great form as well in general. His partnership with Coady and Bennett is vital to Wolves this season.

Matt Doherty (RWB)

The wing-back struggled to impact the game against Watford but he has been good this season, especially moving forward to support the attack.

Joao Moutinho

Joao Moutinho (CM)

The experienced Moutinho probably had his first bad game for Wolves last Saturday. He would be hoping to learn and improve on that quickly.

Ruben Neves (CM)

The youngster has had a few quiet games, especially the last one. But he still holds the key to create chances from the midfield.

Jonny (LWB)

Struggled against Watford after playing for Spain five days back. A seven-day gap to prepare for the game should be ideal for him.

Helder Costa (RW)

The Portuguese international has been a genuine threat to the defenders this season with his pace and direct running with the ball. Should start.

Raul Jimenez

Raul Jimenez (ST)

The Mexican struggled a bit to perform last time out as he was handled well by Watford defenders. He can expect a different challenge against Brighton.

Diogo Jota (LW)

Out of an average bunch at the Molineux last Saturday, Jota was probably the best player. His decision-making still needs some improvement.
