Predicted Manchester City Line-up To Face Chelsea In The Premier League

In what is easily the toughest fixture yet for Manchester City, they will travel to Stamford Bridge this weekend for a thrilling encounter. Chelsea, the defending champions, have been in decent form of late, winning each of their last three games in all competitions, including one in Madrid. They will be high on confidence going into this game.

However, City have been on a roll themselves, picking teams away with ease but they will have to be at their best to get anything from this tie against Chelsea.

Team News

Pep Guardiola has no new injury issues to worry about as Benjamin Mendy remains the only casualty for this weekend. Skipper Vincent Kompany picked up a niggle but is fit for this clash.

Formation: 3-5-2

Manager: Pep Guardiola

GK – Ederson Moares

Having kept a clean sheet in the mid-week, Ederson is expected to keep his place in goal for this crunch tie.

CB – John Stones

The English centre-back seems to have finally settled in at Etihad and he is expected to start on the right-hand side of the backline for his side.

CB – Vincent Kompany

The skipper of the side, Kompany is just back from a niggle and he will be responsible to keep the likes of Morata away from danger.

CB – Nicolas Otamendi

The Argentine has been one of the most consistent players for City recently and he should start on the left-hand side of the backline for the Citizens.

RWB – Kyle Walker

The English full-back is showing great form, playing as a wing back, and is expected to keep his place in the side on the right wing.

CM – Fernandinho

The Brazilian has been the most important player in the midfield for City, shielding the back line and he will have a huge role to play in this game against an in-form Chelsea side.

CM – David Silva

Though not too productive in front of goal, Silva has been an influential player for City and needs to be at his best for his side to take anything from this game.

CM – Kevin de Bruyne

The Belgian playmaker picked up a goal in the mid-week and will hope to repeat the performance against his former side as well.

LWB – Danilo

With Benjamin Mendy out injured, Danilo remains the only option for Manchester City, who should be used in a wing-back role on the left flank.

ST – Sergio Aguero

The Argentine hit-man is one of the best, if not the best strikers in England and will be the danger man for Man City.

ST – Gabriel Jesus

The Brazilian youngster has been terrific and productive in the final third for City and he should play alongside Aguero in an advanced role through the middle.
