Predicted Burnley Line-up To Face Crystal Palace In The Premier League

Burnley will go head to head against Frank de Boer’s Crystal Palace at the Turf Moor, on Sunday in the fourth match-week of the Premier League.

The Clarets have had a decent start to the season, winning against Chelsea and drawing a game against Tottenham Hotspur. But they lost their only home game of the season, against West Bromwich Albion. Manager Sean Dyche will be hoping to get his team off the mark at the Turf Moor early in the season.

Team News

Jeff Hendrick could be in line for a return after missing the previous game due to a thigh strain. Deadline day signing Nahki Wells will be unavailable as he recovers from an ankle injury, while Dean Marney is also ruled out.

Manager: Sean Dyche

Formation: 4-4-2

Tom Heaton (GK)

The England goalkeeper is the captain of the club and is an ever-present in the starting XI for the Clarets. No change expected.

Matthew Lowton (RB)

The 28-year old is a consistent performer for Dyche’s side and should continue to keep Phil Bardsley out of the starting line-up.

James Tarkowski (CB)

Has stepped up nicely to fill the hole left by Michael Keane and should continue to feature in the backline.

Ben Mee (CB)

Tarkowski will be partnered by Ben Mee in the heart of the defence. The 27-year-old did not get a lot of credit for his displays last season, but he did have a strong one and has started off well this time around too.

Stephen Ward (LB)

At left-back it will be experienced left-back Stephen Ward, meaning summer acquisition Charlie Taylor will have to make do with a place on the bench.

Johann Berg-Gudmundsson (RM)

The Iceland international has slotted in nicely on the right flank, after an injury-ridden debut season. Will get another start on Sunday.

Jack Cork

Jack Cork (CM)

The summer signing has been a great addition for the Clarets and has added a layer of solidity to the midfield. Will keep his place in the middle of the park.

Steven Defour (CM)

The resurgent Belgian has had a fine start to his second season at the Turf Moor. Will be a constant fixture in the midfield when fit.

Robbie Brady (LM)

The Republic of Ireland international is looking much more settled now, after a difficult start. Will start on the left-hand side of the midfield.

Chris Wood

Sam Vokes (ST)

The Welshman has netted twice already this season and should start the game against the Eagles at home.

Chris Wood (ST)

The club record signing made an immediate impact, scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Tottenham before the break. Should partner Vokes at the top.
