QPR v West Brom Predictions: West Brom line-up

After claiming an impressive win in the Birmingham derby away at Aston Villa, West Brom would be aiming to get closer to second-placed Sheffield United when they face Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road tomorrow night. Darren Moore’s men were worthy for their 2-0 win against Villa and are in good form in the league. They are just four points behind the Blades and have a game in hand, which they will play tomorrow.

They are up against a QPR team, who haven’t won a league game in seven and are 18th on the table. Hence, on paper and form, West Brom are clear favourites to get three points but nothing is guaranteed in Championship football.

Team News

This is the second of a two-game ban that Dwight Gayle will fulfill. Matt Phillips and James Morrison are recovering well but are doubtful for this game.

Probable West Brom XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Darren Moore

Sam Johnstone (GK)

He is their first-choice and starts every league game. That should continue to be the case tomorrow.

Mason Holgate (RB)

The loanee from Everton has done a good job at right-back and should keep his place in the team.

Craig Dawson (CB)

He was a part of the defence that was impressive against Villa. His partnership with Ahmed Hegazy has flourished this season.

Craig Dawson

Ahmed Hegazy (CB)

The Egyptian has done well at the back and is expected to partner Dawson in central defence as usual.

Kieran Gibbs (LB)

The former Arsenal left-back is a regular in the team under Moore and should start tomorrow night.

Jake Livermore (CDM)

Since returning from a four-game ban, the Englishman has done well in midfield and is expected to start.

Sam Field (LCM)

Gareth Barry played in the weekend, hence, the veteran could get a rest for this game. This means Field might get a start in the midfield.

Rekeem Harper (RCM)

The teenager has done well in the midfield and is expected to start this game.

Hal Robson-Kanu (RW)

The Welshman scored the goal in the previous game and looked a threat down the right-hand side. He would be aiming to do the same tomorrow.

Hal Robson-Kanu

Jay Rodriguez (ST)

He is the in-form striker in the team and scored again at the weekend. The Englishman is probably the first name on the teamsheet these days.

Jefferson Montero (LW)

Jacob Murphy wasn’t at his best against Villa, hence, we could see Montero starting against QPR.
