After losing out on some key players which include the likes of Sergio Ramos, Nicolas Otamendi and Pedro Rodriguez, Manchester United manager has revealed the player whom his team is looking for. According to Van Gaal, Real Madrid’s Welsh Winger Gareth Bale is the right man for Manchester United and he is the one who fits his system properly.
According to Dailystar, Van Gaal has made it clear to United’s chief exec Woodward that he wants a massive name signing before the window closes.
Last week, Van Gaal has told friends that he thinks Bale can be persuaded to leave Real Madrid at some stage and join the Red Devils. Even during United’s pre-season tour to The United States of America, Van Gaal spoke of the creative player he needs and his team is in for a surprise signing before the window ends and it is understood that the player is none other than Bale.
United have already spent £77million on five signings (Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sergio Romero) this summer and must be spending more than this sum to land the Welshman this summer.
Having said that, signing Bale from Real Madrid will not be an easy one for Manchester United as both the sides are at loggerheads with United over goalkeeper David De Gea, who wants to move to the Bernabeu and also both Madrid and Bale had issued a statement that the player is happy in Spain.
