How This English Star’s Arrival Will Make This Arsenal Team A Better Force

Arsenal fans will probably be happy seeing that Theo Walcott will be returning to full team action pretty soon, after injuring himself in the win over Tottenham in the FA Cup last season he missed not only the rest of the season but also the 2014 World Cup and hasn’t been much of a part of the Arsenal team so far.

Theo Walcott has played just one game this season for the Gunners when they beat Burnley 3-0, he came on as a substitute in the 81st minute probably to understand how the recovery has been going and it seemed that he still needs time to recover from what seemed to be a pretty serious injury. His return will take place sooner rather than later and that is good news for all Gunner fans.

The growth of Theo Walcott

When Walcott was signed from Southampton as a 17 year old there was a raw talent about him and that was something that Arsene Wenger worked on to not only refine his skills but make him a better player over all.

Credit to Wenger, Walcott when he would come on in his initial years at Arsenal had the pace for the game but not the knowledge of what to do with the ball and when. He would just run into a space and then get lost, he was often criticised for not producing enough with the ball and he did work on that during his time at the club.

The first part was learning when to put balls in which came over time, the harder part was working on his finishing, time and time again the forward would get into decent positions but just could not finish.

Theo Walcott was in fact dropped from the England team and put into the U21 for a while so that he could toughen up and although that was an unpopular decision at that time, it did help him become a better player and finisher for not only England but for Arsenal as well.

It was from the 2010-2011 season when Theo started to find the back of the net more often, he scored 13 goals in 38 games for the Gunners, he then scored 11 goals and 21 goals in the next two seasons before he got injured last season where he had found the back of the net 6 times in 18 games.

Hopefully when Walcott comes back his pace will not have come down, Walcott is known for his electric pace and that was just as big an asset to his game as anything, him coming back would provide Arsenal with another option upfront making them stronger in offense.
