Manchester United’s Dream XI For Next Season – Featuring A £86million Marquee Signing

Here’s how Manchester United Can Line Up With Antoine Griezmann In The Team

Manchester United have won three trophies in Jose Mourinho’s first season at the club and they will only get better as the manager is getting ready to spend big on his troops this summer. The manager is looking at some of the biggest names in Europe and one name that is constantly doing the rounds is that of French star Antoine Griezmann, who is believed to be worth £86million.

Arguably one of the best strikers in the world at the moment, the Atletico Madrid man recently revealed that there is a 60% chance of a move to Old Trafford. Manchester United have a plethora of talent but Griezmann could be the man to make United the European giants that they were a few years ago. So how will United lineup with the 26-year old in their armoury?

Mourinho is expected to stick to his 4-3-3 system, to try and get the best out of Paul Pogba, on who he spent a record amount of money to get him to England. This will mean that Mourinho has the striker’s role and the number 10 role to fill next season.

The likes of Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic could leave the club this summer, leaving Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as the only outright strikers. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mata are the only players who can play in the number 10 role, and Griezmann is adept at stealing a place in the starting XI, in either of those positions.

With Champions League football beckoning, Mourinho is expected to spend on another first team attacker and this might see him use Griezmann only as a support striker. With Rashford or Martial on the left flank, Jesse Lingard and Mkhitaryan on the right flank, United need a number 10 and a number 9 in their ranks and the Atletico Madrid man can play both roles with ease.

The likes of Romelu Lukaku are also linked with a move to the club while Mourinho is also looking at an outright winger, to improve his options next season. So it will not be easy for him to use all his stars in every game but he will have a clue as to what his first XI would be.

Marital has done well and might keep the left flank to his name while Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to play on the right wing or as a number 10. Mourinho might use Griezmann as the number 10 if Mkhi is used on the right, and might use him as a striker when the Armenian is used as a No.10.
