How Liverpool Will Line Up Fitting In This Diminutive Midfielder From Bundesliga, If Conte Moves In

Liverpool Klopp

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp seem to be planning for the future with news coming in that the German will be given a lot of money to bring in quality at Anfield. Everyone knew that there would be a major upheaval in the playing staff at Liverpool and Klopp has already got a couple of players on board.

Marko Grujic and Joel Matip have already signed to join the Reds next season but Liverpool need quality in various positions across the team and one such place has been in attack. Philippe Coutinho might be the man who is doing most of the good work for Liverpool but he does need more help and that could be coming in the form of a German World Cup winner.

Gotze calling to Liverpool

mario gotze

The player who could be coming to Anfield in the summer is Mario Gotze, the 23-year-old had played under Klopp during his years at Borussia Dortmund where he turned out to be a star but moved to Bayern Munich in 2013, much to the displeasure of many Dortmund fans.

Gotze would be incredible for Liverpool and with his movement and finishing, he would be a great player to have in front. Gotze can also pick out that all crucial pass and open defences, plus he has incredible control also.

Every club would love to have the diminutive midfielder but just where would he line-up for Liverpool? The back four and the goalkeeper are more or less set and with Jordan Henderson and Emre Can in midfield it is all set but what about the rest?

Liverpool would play with one striker up top, that could be Daniel Sturridge or Divock Origi as the likes of Christian Benteke and Mario Balotelli are sure to be sold in the summer. It does get interesting and a little chaotic for Liverpool behind their striker though.

Gotze might have only made 11 appearances for Bayern this season but he would start almost every game for Liverpool if he does come in. His preferred position is right behind the striker, which is where he should be played but that role is currently occupied by Coutinho.

Mario could play out on either wing as Liverpool have lacked quality in that department and Jordon Ibe is not the finished product as of yet. Lazar Markovic is another player who could provide Liverpool width next season but Gotze would be incredible out wide as well, something that he had done in the past for Bayern and Dortmund.

Ideally he should be playing down the middle where he would have the greatest influence but Coutinho has to play in this role since he is more effective in a central position than out wide. Wherever Gotze does play, he will be a star attraction not only for Liverpool but also for the Premier League.

The big question is how much would Bayern want for the 23-year-old who still has a pretty big contract with the Bavarian giants and who would not want to lose out an asset on the cheap. Liverpool better have their big cheque books ready for this deal.
