According to the latest reports, Premier League champions Chelsea are all set to hijack Spurs’ move for Southampton superstar Victor Wanyama. Manager Jose Mourinho is ready to offer up to £20m for the defensive enforcer, as he looks to strengthen his squad, after not the best of starts to the new league campaign. Though the Blues managed to beat Arsenal at the weekend at Stamford Bridge, they still lie at 15th place in the points table.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder still has a couple of years left on contract, but has refused to sign a new deal and will let his contract run down into its final year.
