Star-studded Liverpool Attacking Line-up For 2018/19 Season Featuring Nabil Fekir

According to reports, Lyon star Nabil Fekir could be heading to Liverpool in the summer. The Reds have reportedly agreed to a €70m move for the Frenchman.

The French attacker has been one of the shining lights in Ligue 1 this season, scoring 22 goals and providing 8 assists in all competitions.

Fekir is one of the hottest attacking prospects in European football and has impressed with his displays for Lyon this campaign. His displays have garnered attention from a host of European clubs, including Liverpool.

At Lyon, Bruno Genesio has built his team around the captain, Nabil Fekir. He has been the heartbeat of the Lyon team, who are second on the table with two games remaining. Paris Saint-Germain wrapped up the title quite some time ago but the way Lyon have fought this season is commendable, to say the least. In Lyon’s upturn of fortunes this season, Fekir has played a big hand from a central role.

Speaking about the Lyon hitman’s role at Anfield, he would provide some much-needed attacking cover and flair to the current Liverpool side. However, Fekir will need assurances of a starting berth in Jurgen Klopp’s line-up and that means the Liverpool gaffer has to alter his tactics to fit all of his dazzling attacking assets in the starting XI.

Having said that, if Fekir were to complete the move, here is how Liverpool’s attacking line-up will look like next season.

Liverpool’s attacking line-up fitting Nabil Fekir

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Jordan Henderson (CM)

Henderson has done very well this campaign. He sits at the base of the midfield, screens the defence and helps Liverpool tick in the attack.

Naby Keita (CM)

Keita is set to join the Reds from RB Leipzig at the end of the season. He would provide dynamism and bite in midfield, allowing the Liverpool attackers to express themselves more freely.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Salah will continue to be deployed on the right-wing. The Egyptian has taken the Premier League by storm this season, helping the Reds to the Champions League final.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Sadio Mane has burst into life following the departure of Coutinho to Barcelona. With his pace and trickery, the Senegalese attacker remains a massive threat to the opposition defenders.

Nabil Fekir (CAM)

The No.10 role would be apt for Fekir to thrive at Anfield. Starting behind the striker, the Lyon man would create a lot of chances for Roberto Firmino to score.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

There will be no danger to Firmino’s position as the Brazilian has established himself as the quintessential player under Klopp. It would be interesting to see how well Firmino and Fekir link up should the latter move to Liverpool.
