Here are the top 5 FPL assets to consider after the international break

With the second international break coming to an end, here’s a shortlist of top 5 FPL differentials who have impressed with their national teams and are likely to continue their form with the respective clubs.

Ilkay Gundogan, Machester City

Ilkay Gundogan (£5.2m) has shown his potential by scoring a brace and setting up Timo Werner to help Germany secure a 3-0 win over Estonia despite Die Mannschaft being reduced to 10-men after Emre Can received a red card in the 14th minute.

Gundogan has played all 90 minutes in the last two gameweeks and can continue his red hot form with the club as well. Manchester City will be keen to bounce back from the 0-2 defeat to Wolves and Gundogan may prove to be the differential this week. He is owned by just 1.4% of the FPL managers.

Georginio Wijnaldum, Liverpool

Wijnaldum (£5.4m) scored a brace for the Netherlands to defeat Belarus 2-1. He has the third-highest number of FPL points in the Liverpool team, behind just Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Wijnaldum has started in all the 8 gameweeks so far and has the knack of scoring against big teams. Liverpool will be facing Manchester United this weekend and Wijnaldum, who is owned by just 2.4% of FPL managers, can be another big differential this gameweek.

Michy Batshuayi, Chelsea

Batshuayi (£6.6m) continued to improve his international tally by scoring his 15th goal in 27 appearances for Belgium in their 2-0 win over Kazakhstan.

He is one of the most underrated players in the Premier League and boss Frank Lampard might give him his first Premier League start this season ahead of Tammy Abraham considering the Champions League fixture in midweek.

Batshuayi is owned by just 0.4% FPL managers and the in-form striker could bag double-figure points if named in the starting line-up.

John McGinn, Aston Villa

McGinn (£5.8m) continued his Premier League form during the international break and scored a hat-trick in Scotland’s 6-0 win over San Marino.

He has accumulated 19 points in the past three gameweeks, which include two goals. McGinn has been impressive in Aston Villa’s rise in form and is expected to get some points from their game against Brighton.

Youri Tielemans, Leicester City

Tielemans (£6.4m) scored a goal and set up another for Belgium in their 9-0 win over San Marino. Leicester City’s fixtures are quite easy for the next 9 gameweeks except for Arsenal.

Even though Tielemans, who is owned by just 4.2% of FPL managers, has given just one assist in the eight Premier Leagues appearances so far, the stats may change anytime soon.
