With their promotion almost confirmed, Sheffield United will need to add new players, as they prepare for the Premier League. It’s a big jump from the Championship to the Premier League, as witnessed by Cardiff City and Fulham.
The Blades need to add new stars but they need to make sure that it’s the right players, especially after Fulham’s disastrous spending summer. Here are a few players that the club should consider making a move for.
Currently, on loan at Sheffield United, the 22-year-old has played out of his socks for the club and really wants to stay at the club, revealing so in an interview (Daily Mail). He’s been an absolute revelation this season, keeping 20 clean sheets, which is the league’s highest so far.
In fact, he’s been so good for the club that the Daily Mail has reported that Bayern Munich and Arsenal are keen on a move for the young goalkeeper. He’s made more than a few crucial saves and has been one of the main reasons behind the Blades’ promotion.
This move would be the best thing for Sheffield United and even Henderson himself, which is why the club should look to extend the loan spell.
Another player who has been in incredible form this season, Curtis has been Sheffield United’s top target since November (The Star). A tall and powerful winger, the 23-year-old has really flourished this season.
So far he’s managed to contribute to 25 goals, scoring 12 of those himself over the course of this season, which makes him more prolific than all but two of Sheffield United’s players. A move FOR Ronan Curtis makes a lot of sense for both sides
A consistent goalscorer for every team he has played for, Stephane Bahoken has done relatively well over the course of his career. 26 years old and finally hit his stride, he hit double figures for SCO Angers this season.
That’s seen Sheffield United take a keen interest in him, with the Blades looking for back-up to super-striker Billy Sharp [Sunday Mirror (28/4; page 68)]. They need reinforcements in the future, especially with the likes of David McGoldrick and Conor Washington struggling to make an impact.

His pace and ability on the ball make him a threat on the counter-attack and provides attributes that are very different from those of Sharp. However, he does have a physical and aggressive side to him, averaging 1.8 fouls per game.
