Here are 2 PL clubs who should target this 29-year-old German midfield general including Man City

Premier League opinion – Two PL clubs who should target Sebastian Rudy

According to German outlet Bild, German side Schalke are keen to offload few of their players in the summer transfer window to make a squad overhaul.

Almost 11 players are expected to be on sale when the transfer window reopens. This decision has been taken to overcome the financial downfalls, which is also not helped by the fact that the team is lying in 14th position in the Bundesliga table, not far away from the relegation zone. (Bild)

One of those players on the sale list is – Sebastian Rudy, a former Bayern Munich player and current German international. (Bild)

He is a very good player who has the propensity to operate in defensive midfield or at right-back.

Hence, teams should be encouraged to see that the 29-year-old is available to be signed. That being said, here are the two Premier League clubs who should target the German in the summer:

Everton

Everton kept hold of Idrissa Gueye in the January window, but it would be difficult to do the same during the summer. Hence, the Toffees must dip in the market to sign a new defensive midfielder.

Sebastian Rudy is predominantly a player who can play in that position, and also help his team at right-back. He could be an ideal addition to the Everton squad that requires a bit of surgery in order to be a top-eight team in the Premier League.

Manchester City

Out of all the squad depth and talent that Manchester City possess, they still have to find a Fernandinho-type player. The Brazilian is now 33 years old and wouldn’t be around in the circuit for too long.

Thus, Pep Guardiola’s men must sign a defensive midfielder of great quality in the summer transfer window. They have tracked Sebastian Rudy in the past and it would be great if they do the same in few months time and get the German across at the Etihad ahead of the start of next season.
