Heckingbottom to make no changes – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Leeds United XI to face Norwich City

Predicted Leeds United Line-up To Face Norwich City In The EFL Championship

Leeds United are finishing the season in a fairly mediocre fashion, much like the rest of their season actually. They are marooned in 12th place, with no way of going down but 10 points off playoff spots.

Their opponents for this Saturday, Norwich, have had a very similar season and they will both be hoping to recruit in the summer to push them up towards those playoff positions next season.

Probable Leeds United XI

Manager: Paul Heckingbottom

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Bailey Peacock-Farrell (GK)

The young keeper did well against Barnsley last game and made some good saves to keep his side in the lead.

Matthew Pennington (RB)

Pennington has recently come back from injury and has gone straight back into the squad. He has looked excellent since his return and adds an extra dimension going forward.

Pontus Jansson (CB)

Another player who has recently returned from injury and Leeds really missed him while he was away. He commands the defence and towers above the opposition.

Pontus Jansson

Paudie O’Connor (CB)

O’Connor had a game to forget against Barnsley and was unfortunate to score an own goal. However, has been in good form at the back for Leeds this season.

Tom Pearce (LB)

Pearce was excellent in Leeds’ last game and even grabbed himself a goal. The 20-year-old has broken through into the Leeds first-team this season and has looked like a real prospect.

Ronaldo Viera (CM)

Viera looked comfortable on the ball and had an excellent passing success rate but conceded too many fouls against Barnsley. He is maturing into a good player.

Kalvin Phillips

Kalvin Phillips (CM)

The other half of Leeds’ young midfield, he didn’t have the best of games against Barnsley and will be looking to do better.

Ezgjan Alioski (RW)

The right-winger had an excellent game against Barnsley. He managed five shots and seven tackles, which shows that he worked hard, up and down the pitch.

Pablo Hernandez (LW)

Hernandez has some big decisions to make over the next couple of weeks. He has 7 goals and 8 assists for them this season and is a big-game player.

Samu Saiz

Samuel Saiz (AMC)

Saiz had a very average game against Barnsley and will be looking to do better in this game. He has 5 goals and 7 assists to his name, which is not a bad haul for the attacking midfielder.

Kemar Roofe (ST)

Roofe has not had the best of seasons for Leeds but he has chipped in with 10 goals for the Whites. He also grabbed an assist against Barnsley and will be looking for some more before the end of the season.
