Hazard On The Left, Kante To Start – Strongest 3-4-3 Chelsea Line-up To Face West Brom

Predicted Chelsea Line-up To Face West Bromwich Albion In The Premier League

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are currently 4th in the points table after their satisfying victory over Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United at Stamford Bridge before the international break. The manager will be relatively happy with the progress of his side but standing as the champions of England, they are expected to be more ruthless in their approach to games this season.

They will look to re-establish their command in the points table but face a tough fixture this weekend as they travel to the Hawthorns to face Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies have lost 5 of their 11 games so far and are not in good shape. Conte will surely look to take all three points from this game.

Team News

Wing-back Victor Moses is still out with a hamstring injury and this game might be too soon for his return. However, he remains the only injury concern for Conte ahead of this game, who is expecting to see the likes of Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi be fit after they picked up niggles while on national duty.

Probable Chelsea Line-up

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Antonio Conte

GK – Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian international let in 3 goals against Mexico during the international break but will hope to have a comfortable return to club football at the Hawthorns.

CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

The Spaniard was not a part of his national team during the break and will be fresh and ready to take on the Baggies in this game.

CB – David Luiz

Though not at his best recently, Luiz is still an important part of the squad at Chelsea and should start at the heart of the backline for Chelsea against WBA.

CB – Gary Cahill

With Rudiger playing in both of Germany’s friendlies during the break, Cahill is expected to start, to give him some rest.

RWB – Davide Zappacosta

With Moses out injured, Conte has no option but to use Zappacosta as the wing-back on the right flank. The Italian will be looking to put the misery of World Cup qualification failure behind and focus on club football for the moment.

Davide Zappacosta

CM – Cesc Fabregas

Replacing Bakayoko in the first-team should be Fabregas, who will add some creativity to help the Blues break down a well-drilled West Brom side this weekend.

CM – N’Golo Kante

The French international had a tremendous outing against the Red Devils last time around and with no appearances during the international break, he will be fresh to take on Pulis’ side.

LWB – Marcos Alonso

Another player who had a quiet international break, Alonso, will be hoping to get back to good ways with a decent performance this weekend.

RW – Willian

With West Brom expected to sit back and defend, Conte should use Willian, who got a few minutes under his belt in the friendly against England at Wembley.

Alvaro Morata

LW – Eden Hazard

The Belgian ace complained about a niggle after playing for the national team but is expected to be fit for this tricky trip to the Hawthorns.

ST – Alvaro Morata

Morata picked up a goal in the game against Costa Rica during the break and will be full of confidence. Will look to continue scoring goals.
