Predicted Manchester City Line-up To Face Burnley In The FA Cup
Manchester City’s astonishing winning run was put to a halt at Selhurst Park earlier this week as Crystal Palace managed to snatch a point away from the league leaders. However, Pep Guardiola’s men bounced back with a win vs Watford, and are now back in action this weekend, in yet another cup competition, as Manchester City welcome Sean Dyche’s Burnley to the Etihad, in an all-Premier League tie in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
The Clarets were beaten by Liverpool in the previous round and also lost to Manchester City late last month. But they have been a side hard to beat and will surely give the hosts a tough time.
Team News
In early team news, the likes of Benjamin Mendy, Philip Foden and Gabriel Jesus are ruled out for this game. Vincent Kompany and Kyle Walker are also doubtful and might not be risked.
Probable Manchester City XI
Formation: 4-3-3
Manager: Pep Guardiola
GK – Claudio Bravo
Ederson has been a revelation under the bar this season for his side but could be rested for this game, giving Bravo a chance to impress.
RB – Danilo
With Walker out injured, Guardiola has no real option but to use Danilo as a right-back for this FA Cup tie.
CB – Tosin Adarabioyo
The youngster has hardly put a foot wrong in his time in the first-team under Guardiola and deserves to start this game.

CB – Eliaquim Mangala
With John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi now the first choice pairing for the manager, Mangala should get his chance to impress in the domestic cup tie.
LB – Oleksandr Zinchenko
The attacking midfielder has been used extensively as a full-back this season by Guardiola and he might get a start yet again, with Delph definitely needing a day off.
CM – Yaya Toure
The Ivorian has not been at his best, playing a bit part role this season but this game is a great chance for him to prove his worth to Guardiola.
CDM – Fernandinho
The Brazilian was withdrawn early in the game against Crystal Palace and should be fresh enough to start this game in the midfield.
CM – Ilkay Gundogan
Adding some creativity to the midfield should be Gundogan, who has finally found some form in his time at the Etihad.

RW – Bernardo Silva
Struggling to start games regularly, Silva could get another look in against Burnley on the right flank.
LW – Brahim Diaz
The Spaniard impressed in his only start in the League Cup earlier this season and deserves to start this weekend on the left flank.
ST – Sergio Aguero
With Jesus out injured, Guardiola has to use Aguero to lead the line, to help his side progress to the next round.
