Guardiola To Make 7 Changes – Strongest 4-1-2-3 Man City Line-up For Sunday’s High-profile Manchester Derby Clash

Predicted Manchester City Line-up To Face Manchester United In The Premier League

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City fell to their first loss of the season on their trip to Donetsk but managed to qualify to the knock out stage of the Champions League as group toppers. The manager will hope that his side can get back to winning ways this weekend, in probably his biggest test of this season so far.

Standing at the top of the PL points table, Manchester City travel to Old Trafford this weekend, to face 2nd placed Manchester United, with a chance to open up an 11-point gap at the top. United are fresh off of a 3-1 victory over Arsenal and will fight for all three points.

What a Manchester Derby we’ve got on our hands here!

Team News

In early team news, John Stones and Benjamin Mendy remain out injured while David Silva, who picked up a niggle earlier in the week, could make it to the starting XI. Skipper Vincent Kompany pulled out of the European fixture but he is believed to be fit and ready to face the Red Devils.

Formation: 4-1-2-3

Manager: Pep Guardiola

GK – Ederson Moares

Let two goals in against Shakhtar but none of them were his fault. Will hope to have a more productive game this weekend.

RB – Kyle Walker

Up against the likes of Martial, Walker will have to put in an extra shift at the back, which might reduce his influence on the Manchester City attack.

CB – Vincent Kompany

The skipper of the side, Kompany has not played the last two games for City but should be back in action for this crunch tie.

Nicolas Otamendi

CB – Nicolas Otamendi

The Argentine international has been exceptional this season but will have his work cut out against the likes of Romelu Lukaku.

LB – Fabian Delph

Has been preferred to Danilo at left-back and should keep his place in the side after being rested for the mid-week Champions League outing.

CDM – Fernandinho

Played as a CB in the game against Shakhtar but will be pushed into his usual midfield role. He’d add some much-needed mettle to the City midfield.

CM – David Silva

The Spaniard scored the winner in the last game against West Ham but did not make the trip to Ukraine. He should be back in the starting XI, as a part of the midfield.

CM – Kevin de Bruyne

The Belgian playmaker is among the best in the world at the moment and will be the danger man for Manchester City this weekend.

Raheem Sterling

RW – Raheem Sterling

The former Liverpool man, Sterling will know all about facing the Red Devils and will hope to put in the extra yards, to help his side open up a huge lead at the top of the points table.

LW – Leroy Sane

After a rather subdued outing earlier in the week, Sane will look to make things right, with a match-winning performance in this derby.

ST – Gabriel Jesus

Has lost his place in the first team recently but with reports claiming that Aguero might be dropped, he is next in line to lead the attack for his side.

This is how Man City might line up:
