Guardiola to make 3 changes – Strongest 4-3-3 Manchester City lineup to face Newcastle United

Predicted Manchester City Lineup To Face Newcastle United In The Premier League

Manchester City will look to get back to winning ways when they take on Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The runaway leaders of the Premier League were handed their first league defeat of the season last weekend when Liverpool beat them 4-3 at Anfield. Despite the defeat, Pep Guardiola’s side have a 12-point lead over second-placed Manchester United and the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager will be keen on bouncing back from Sunday’s defeat with a strong performance against the Magpies.

Team News

Fabian Delph has joined the injury list for the Cityzens, after walking off the pitch against Liverpool with a knee injury. He joins Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy on the treatment tables. No other injury-enforced absentees for Guardiola for Saturday’s clash.

Here’s how the league leaders might line up against Newcastle:

Manager: Pep Guardiola

Formation: 4-3-3

Ederson (GK)

The Brazilian made a big mistake in the loss to Liverpool last week and will be keen on atoning himself with a solid display at home.

Kyle Walker (RB)

The England international should keep his place on the right-hand side of the back four against Newcastle United.

John Stones (CB)

The former Everton man had a difficult game against Liverpool. Will be eager to bounce back this weekend with an improved performance.

Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones

Nicolas Otamendi (CB)

The Argentine has been one of the most improved players under Guardiola this season but endured a tough night at Anfield. Will want to come back with a better display.

Danilo (LB)

With Fabian Delph out with an injury, former Real Madrid man Danilo should get a chance to feature from the kick-off, at left-back.

Kevin De Bruyne (CM)

The Cityzens’ biggest creative hub, Kevin De Bruyne needs to be at his best for his side to get all three points on Saturday.

Fernandinho (CM)

The Brazilian has been a constant fixture in the City midfield this season, and that is unlikely to change for the clash against the Tynesiders.

David Silva (CM)

The Spanish midfielder has missed the last couple of games due to personal issues. Could be in line for a return though, replacing Ilkay Gundogan.

Sergio Aguero

Bernardo Silva (RW)

The Portuguese midfielder had a lively cameo against Liverpool, scoring after coming on. Could be handed a start in place of Raheem Sterling on the right flank.

Sergio Aguero (ST)

With Jesus out until next month, Sergio Aguero will continue to lead the line for the Premier League champions-elect.

Leroy Sane (LW)

On the left-hand side of the attacking trident, it should be Germany international Leroy Sane. Has 7 goals and 9 assists in the league and will want to add to those numbers.
