Guardiola To Make 2 Important Changes – Strongest 4-1-2-3 Manchester City Line-up To Face Tottenham

Predicted Manchester City Line-up To Face Tottenham Hotspur In The Premier League

Manchester City extended their winning run to a record 15 games this mid-week as a comfortable victory over Swansea City helped them keep their distance at the top of the Premier League points table. They don’t look like dropping points any time soon but have a tough fixture this weekend, as they welcome Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur, who will be high on confidence after their back to back victories in the last couple of games.

Guardiola will settle for nothing less than three points but Spurs have a squad that can halt their winning run. This match could well go down to the wire and will surely be entertaining.

Team News

Benjamin Mendy and John Stones remain the only long-term injuries for Guardiola, ahead of this game. Skipper Vincent Kompany has also picked up a niggle and is going to miss another game this weekend.

Formation: 4-1-2-3

Manager: Pep Guardiola

GK – Ederson Moraes

The first choice shot-stopper for Guardiola in the league, Ederson has been impressive at the back for City and should keep his place in goal.

RB – Kyle Walker

After being rested for the game against Swansea, Walker should be back in action, all pumped up against his former club.

CB – Eliaquim Mangala

With Kompany and Stones out injured, Guardiola has little choice but to use Mangala in his backline this weekend.

Fernandinho (left) and Otamendi (right)

CB – Nicolas Otamendi

Arguably one of the most important players for City this season, Otamendi has been a constant presence at the back for his side, and that will be the case against Spurs as well.

LB – Fabian Delph

Up against the likes of Eriksen, Delph, who has been effective in the full-back role, might be tested on Saturday.

CDM – Fernandinho

The Brazilian remains the best option for Guardiola as the deepest of the midfielders and he will have his work cut out against a decent Spurs side.

CM – David Silva

After a brace earlier in the week, Silva has found impeccable form this month and could be the danger man.

CM – Kevin de Bruyne

After yet another impressive performance, De Bruyne now stands as one of the best playmakers in Europe and needs to be kept quiet for Spurs to take anything from this game.

Raheem Sterling

RM – Raheem Sterling

Up against Ben Davies on the wing, Sterling will look to use his pace on the flank to add some width to the City attack, coming back into the starting XI after being rested earlier in the week.

LM – Leroy Sane

To keep Trippier and Dier busy, Sane, who is easily one of the best wingers in the league, will look to push Spurs’ backline deeper and deeper with his direct approach to the game.

ST – Sergio Aguero

Though Jesus has been effective this season, Aguero is expected to the lead line and take on the likes of Dier and Vertonghen in this crunch clash.

Here is how Man City might line up:
