Guardiola To Make 10 Changes – Predicted 4-3-3 Manchester City Line-up To Face Bournemouth

Predicted Manchester City Line-up To Face Bournemouth In The Premier League

Manchester City needed spot-kicks to send Leicester City out of the League Cup as they managed to move into the semi-finals of the competition. They have now won each of their last 15 league games, and have a great chance of extending their run when they welcome a Bournemouth side that is fresh from back to back losses vs Manchester United and Liverpool.

The Cherries are struggling at 16th place in the points table and are not expected to take anything from this game. City will be firm favourites to steal all three points here.

Team News

Benjamin Mendy and John Stones are both no closer to a return to first-team action for City. Midfielder David Silva missed the last two games due to personal reasons but should be back in action this weekend along with Eliaquim Mangala, who is expected to recover from his knock. However, skipper Vincent Kompany is not expected to play any role in this game.

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Pep Guardiola

GK – Ederson Moraes

Was rested for the mid-week game against Leicester but should be back between the sticks this weekend.

RB – Kyle Walker

The English full-back remains Guardiola’s first choice at right-back and should retain his place in the backline for this game.

CB – Eliaquim Mangala

With Kompany still not fully fit, Guardiola has little choice but to stick with Mangala, who was taken off in the game against the Foxes earlier in the week.

Fernandinho (left) and Otamendi (right)

CB – Nicolas Otamendi

Arguably the best defender in the league at the moment, Otamendi will start as the senior CB at the back for Manchester City.

LB – Fabian Delph

The former Aston Villa midfielder has been effective at left-back for City this season and should retain his place for this league fixture.

CDM – Fernandinho

The Brazilian is City’s first choice CDM and with very few backups for him, he is one of the first names on the team sheet for Guardiola this season.

CM – Kevin de Bruyne

The Belgian international got a much-deserved rest in the mid-week and should be fresh and ready to take on the Cherries this weekend.

CM – David Silva

After missing the last two games due to personal reasons, Silva is expected to be back in action and should start in the midfield alongside De Bruyne.

Kevin De Bruyne

RW – Raheem Sterling

City’s leading goal scorer, Sterling has been productive in front of goal this season and is sure to keep his place on the right flank.

LW – Leroy Sane

Arguably one of the best wingers in the league at the moment, Sane will surely be too hot to handle for the Bournemouth defence.

ST – Sergio Aguero

With Jesus starting the game against the Foxes, Aguero is expected to lead the line for City in this game.

Here is how the Cityzens might line up:
