Great news: Mesut Ozil Ignores Transfer Rumours, Wants To Stay At Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has confirmed that he is happy to stay at Arsenal to play under Arsene Wenger.

Ozil signed for Arsenal in 2013 for a club record £42.5million and experienced his best season to date in north London under the Frenchman last term. But the German playmaker has delayed his contract talk with the club for the second time and will wait until after Euro 2016 to discuss his future.

Bit in a recent interview, Ozil states that he wants Wenger to stay at the club and insists what he’s done for Arsenal means he’s one of the greatest managers in the history of football.

‘At Arsenal, Arsène Wenger has shown that he is one of the best managers in history,’Ozil told France Football.

‘He has revolutionized the club and created magnificent success. I am proud and aware of the luxury I have of working for such a coach.

‘His simple discourse immediately seduced me when I was asking questions about my future in the summer of 2013. He chose the perfect words to convince me. The great strength that Wenger has is he knows how to talk to his players.

‘On the pitch, I am always enjoying myself. I am lucky to play in the best league in the world and to be a certain starter at one of the best English clubs,’ continued Ozil.

‘In the Premier League, my enjoyment is very high. As long as I am in perfect physical condition.’

It was reported that Ozil is linked with a move to Barcelona, but the midfielder denied all the rumors and looked focused for the Euros.
