Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli does not exactly have the best of track records when it comes to professional career. The once promising star has slowly dwindled into mediocrity and scandalous tabloid space rather than the peak of football elite that he showed promise of.
Liverpool have been keen to sell their striker in the summer and were finding it difficult to find a suitor for Balotelli. However, the player (and Liverpool alike) have been given an escape route as reports from DailyStar has revealed that Eredivisie club Ajax are interested in signing the 25-year-old striker.
Spending the whole of last season at AC Milan, the player was unable to impress Allegri enough to get a permanent offer from the Italian club. While his agent Mino Raiola will have several big name client transfers this summer, Balotelli, unfortunately, is unlikely to be one of them. Nonetheless, it will probably be a good start for Mario and Liverpool to part in an amicable way.
