Barcelona’s current right back Dani Alves is set to leave the Catalan club this summer, however according to Barca’s Sporting Director Robert Fernandez, the club are not looking to bring in Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin as a replacement for Alves.

Barca’s former Youth Player, Bellerin has been widely linked with a move back to the Catalan club this summer, but Fernandez has ruled out the player’s move for the summer.

“Bellerin is a magnificent player, but at the moment we don’t plan [to sign him].”- Robert Fernandez

Alves is set to leave Barcelona this summer on a free transfer, and Juventus are likely to eb the player’s destination.

Further, according to Fernandez Barca are not looking to replace the player this summer and will be putting their faith in Aleix Vidal to cover the position left empty by Alves’ departure from the club.

Bellerin enjoyed an excellent season at the Emirates this season having broken into the first team as the first choice right-back ahead of Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers.
