Great! Arsenal Are Having An Upper Hand In Bringing This 16-Year-Old To The Club

Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all keeping tabs on a 16-year-old player Ethan Ampadu. The 16-year-old currently plays for Exeter at youth level and has represented Wales and England in an Under-17 Championship.

While the top Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the 16-year-old midfielder, the Daily Mail believes that the Gunners have an upper hand in bringing the player into the Emirates Stadium, the reason for the same being that Ampadu’s father Kwame Ampadu, aka Ampadu Snr, works as a youth coach for the Gunners. Further, Ampadu Snr, during his early days, also made two league appearances for Arsenal.

Ampadu Jnr however, is keen on staying at Exeter for the timing so as to complete his studies, however with the clubs already lining up for his signature in the summer, it will be a very strong test of his determination. Further, Exeter will be receiving a compensation for a player coming through their youth system if Ampadu Jnr leaves the club.
