Aston Villa have had a fantastic start to their Championship season, contradictory to their fairly negative summer. Manager Steve Bruce seems to have got hold of his players, making them play in the way he wanted to. They began with a win at Hull City and came from behind to win in injury time against Wigan Athletic.
A trip to Ipswich Town will be a test of character, however, Bruce will be looking to continue the winning ways and keep up the pace with Leeds United at the top.
Callum O’Haire, Keinan Davis, Scott Hogan and Jordan Lyden are still out for the Villians, with John Terry still in doubt to return this weekend. Expect the manager to field a similar side which took part in a win against Wigan last week.
The Norweigan is expected to be the number one for Villa this season and Bruce trusts him to make that spot his own.
Hutton was rested for the midweek game against Yeovil Town, and will probably retain his place in the team.
The 29-year-old was also given a break for the midweek fixture, so he should be fresh enough to start this weekend.
The Manchester United loanee has done well to impress the manager and may get a chance ahead of Tommy Elphick to partner Chester.
Taylor will have to up his game to continue playing at left-back, however, he has the experience to improve if given adequate chances.
McGinn has been very good for Villa thus far and Bruce’s choice to get him this summer has been vindicated. Expect him to be a key figure for the team.
Scored an injury-time winner last week against Wigan, which would have buoyed his confidence. The Icelander should partner McGinn in central midfield.
The Egyptian is set to retain his place after getting an off in the midweek. He scored in the opening fixture and possesses the confidence to do even better.
The youngster has shown enough promise to get his chance ahead of Adomah this week.
The main man, Grealish is still there and Aston Villa fans must be breathing a sigh of relief. Now, the next step is to involve him in games where he can make more impact.
