As soon as Jose Mourinho’s arrival at United was confirmed, the media speculation began about a possible departure of Juan Mata.
However, the 28-year-old has recently taken to twitter to hint that he is comfortable at Manchester United and will likely stay back. The Spaniard has become a fan favorite ever since his arrival at Old Trafford during David Moyes’ reign. However Mourinho was the one who sold him from Chelsea at that time and there was heavy speculation that the Portuguese may do the same again.
Ronald Koeman and Everton were reported to be the favorite to land Mata in the summer with several media publication saying that the deal could be completed earlier this month. However, the recent twitter photo shows Mata enjoying the training for a pre-season tour with Manchester United and the Spaniard is likely to stay back at Old Trafford. Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan could also be seen in the photo.
