Arsenal are preparing a new contract for the flourishing right-back player Hector Bellerin, who may be one of Barcelona’s targets this summer.
Barcelona are set to let of Dani Alves who will be heading to Juventus this summer, thus leaving behind only Alex Vidal as a recognized and proven right-back in the club.
Barcelona Sporting Director in a recent interview did not give much on Bellerin being their target this summer, however Fernandez did praise Bellerin and also stated that a player with that much of experience on Barca style of play will surely be given as much importance in the transfer period. This is similar to the way in which the Gunners saw Cesc Fabregas leave the club in 2011.
He said: “To know how to play in Barcelona defensively is very difficult.
“You have to give importance to these players.”
Thus Arsenal are already proactive and are preparing a new deal for the player which may see him earn more wages, as currently his contract is set to expire in 2019, however despite being one of the first team regulars, his wages are not high enough to keep him at the Emirates.
