According to reports, Premier League outfit Everton are now looking to complete a move for Dynamo Kiev’s Aleksandar Dragovic, in case England defender John Stones leave Goodison Park this summer. Manager Roberto Martinez is desperate to stave off interest from the English champions and keep hold of Stones, however the Merseyside club are now in talks with Dragovic, who was a target for league rivals Arsenal and West Ham.

The 24-year-old defender is on the verge of leaving the Ukrainian champions in the current transfer window and Italian news outlet SportItalia confirmed that the defender is keen to move to England.

The Austria international is considered by Everton as the best possible addition to strengthen their squad, prior to the start of the upcoming season. However, it is quite clear that the club will have to pay a price of around £8m in order to add him to their current squad.

Martinez knows that he needs to be quick in making his move, as Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to add yet another defender to his squad and will look to capture Stones as soon as possible.
