Good News: 35 Mil La Liga Defender on Chelsea Radar for January Bid

Chelsea are considering to make a stunning move to sign Valencia’s left-back Jose Luis Gaya after the Spanish left back Cesar Azplicueta is set to move to the right following the terrible performances of The Blues’ right-back Branislav Ivanovic. It is understood that Jose Mourinho needs a left-back even after signing Baba Rahman from Augsburg.

Jose Luis GayaAccording to reports in  talkSport, Chelsea will have to pay £35m to trigger the player’s release clause and could face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City, who are also lining up a bid to acquire the left back.

The 20-year-old was subject to interest from a number of top European clubs in the summer including Real Madrid, for whom he almost signed a deal. But, eventually he decided to stay at the Mestalla to compete for Valencia in the Champions League. Valencia would not want their top defender to leave them this season after Argentine defender Nicholas Otamendi left the club for Manchester City earlier this summer.
