“Good draw”, “Great fight”: Some Man City fans react to 2-2 draw vs Lyon + Match report

Lyon 2-2 Manchester City: Pep’s Cityzens qualify despite away draw

It took Manchester City to go a goal down to find their stride as the Cityzens played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Groupama Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s men lacked the end product and the cutting edge in the first half as they struggled to find the back of the net. The likes of Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling constantly threatened but failed to kill off their moves.

Maxwell Cornet opened the scoring for the home side in the second half after beating Oleksandr Zinchenko to curl one into the top corner. Aymeric Laporte then replied with a powerful header to level the matters, six minutes after going down.

Ferland Mendy ensured Kyle Walker didn’t enjoy a comfortable day at the office as the Frenchman often beat City defenders down the flanks and tracked down whenever he surged up front. If there’s any side that seems to have disrupted Manchester City’s rhythm this season, it’s Olympique Lyon.

Let’s take a look at how some Manchester City fans reacted to the draw against Lyon in the Champions League-
