Go For It Jose – Why This Croatian Sensation From The EUROS Would Be A Good Signing For Manchester United

Ivan Perisic 1

Euro 2016 has so far been the tournament for Croatia, who have wowed nearly everyone in the European championship. Their win over Spain was incredible and one player in particular stood out, Ivan Perisic.

Discarded by Wolfsburg and sold to Inter Milan last season, the 27-year-old utility player is showing his capability and surely would have a lot of people interested in signing him this season. Perisic scored a wonderful goal against Spain and he would be looking to do better with Croatia in the future.

The funny thing is that Perisic actually was one of the best players at Wolfsburg and has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool, while the two clubs in Red are contemplating bringing him to the club, there is another side that could do with the work rate and ability that the 27-year-old possesses.

Manchester United have a new manager and they brought in Eric Bailly to help them out in defence but what they really need is someone who can do a great job on either side of the midfield or even in the centre of the park.

The central midfield region is one place where Manchester United do not really have a lot of cover and Perisic could be the one player who does provide United that attacking input but also the energy that they so desire in the coming Premier League season.

Even more important than what he can provide is that he is a player that does fit the Jose Mourinho bill and that surely is something that the Manchester United boss would want more off, players that fit his style.

Perisic is someone who keeps on running and is not going to stop. In the last season for Inter Milan he played in a range of positions, which started from right wing back all the way to the right winger. He is adept with his both feet as well, and can give Manchester United the balance that they might need when they play the likes of Memphis Depay or Anthony Martial on either side of the Croatian.

The Croatian is brilliant with his passing and dribbling and has often been in the goals, if he is played in the right position. The 27-year-old would also be available on the cheap; well comparatively cheap if the Premier League side does make the right kind of bid to the Serie A giants.

The only problem could be the fact that Manchester United do not have Champions League football to attract Perisic and he could be contemplating a move to another big club where he does get to play in the biggest European club competition rather than playing in the Europa League next season.

Either way, his dynamism and never say die attitude is just the sort of thing that Manchester United need and if they do sign Perisic, it would be a great option for them to have on the bench at least.
