Go For It Slaven Bilic – This £21.25m Striker Would Be A Shrewd Signing For West Ham This Summer

Why West ham Should Take Advantage Of Michy Batshuayi Situation At Chelsea And Look To Sign Him

In his very first season in the English Premier League, Michy Batshuayi has helped Chelsea FC win the league title by serving as a backup for Diego Costa. But despite a successful first season at Stamford Bridge, the 23-year-old will be disappointed with the lack of playing time at the club. The Belgium international only managed 239 minutes of game time in the league last season. But given Diego Costa’s excellent form in front of goal, Batshuayi cannot complain about wanting to play more minutes for Conte and Chelsea.

In 20 appearances for the Blues in the Premier League, the £21.25million rated Batshuayi managed to score 5 goals in total. The striker would have certainly done better had he played more minutes for the Blues. Now that the London club are preparing to let go of their star striker Diego Costa, one might think that Batshuayi might grab his place. But it is being reported that the Blues are bringing in Batshuayi’s international teammate, Romelu Lukaku as a replacement for Diego Costa as the club’s first striker this summer.

With Michy Batshuayi looking for game time, a move away from Stamford Bridge is the only solution for the 23-year-old. West Ham United are certainly an attractive destination. The West London club have struggled in front of the goal last season and can use the young Belgian’s services.

Plenty was expected from West Ham United’s big money signing of Andre Ayew last season but the striker spent most of the season on the sidelines due to injury. The Hammers only had the services of Andy Carroll for most of the season and he managed to score only 7 League goals.

The goal drought that West Ham have suffered last season is enough reason for them to go after Michy Batshuayi as the striker himself is looking for more game time. Romelu Lukaku also faced a similar situation like Batshuayi in the past with Chelsea, but his move to Everton FC has now turned him into one of the most lethal strikers in all of Europe.

West Ham United are yet to make a summer signing and could make a decent start by signing the young Belgian striker. Who knows? Batshuayi could go on to become the next Romelu Lukaku and fire the Hammers back into Europe next season!
