Go For It Pochettino: Signing These 2 Players Would Make Tottenham The Strongest In The League

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino

Two Players Tottenham Can Look To Sign Before The End Of The Transfer Window

Tottenham Hotspur made a sizzling start to their Premier League campaign this season as they managed to put two unanswered goals past Newcastle United in the opening game on Sunday. But Mauricio Pochettino will know that his side still needs a few additions to allow them to compete at the highest level.

They have one of the most exciting squads in England at the moment but are a couple of signings away from turning into the best in the country. Fortunately, they have enough time to get deals done and here are two such transfers that can turn Spurs into a genuinely unbeatable team this season:

Anthony Martial (Manchester United)

The French international joined Manchester United a couple of seasons ago but is yet to establish himself in the first team. He seems to have failed to capture the imagination of the current manager Jose Mourinho, who is more than happy to use him only from the bench. He is surely unsettled and Spurs have already made a move for his signature but United have rejected their advances.

However, the 21-year old fits the bill perfectly for Spurs and solves more than one problem currently in the squad and is a must-buy for Pochettino. His age and attributes are perfect for the club and though he will not be easy to lure, he has what it takes to turn the club into genuine title contenders instantly.

Ross Barkley (Everton)

The English international is currently unsettled at the Goodison Park and is looking for an exit. Barkley is sure to quit Everton before the deadline day and Spurs have been extensively linked with a move for his services this summer. Everton were initially looking to pocket close to £50m but have now realised the truth in the situation and are ready to offload him for a lower price.

There will be clubs vying for his signature but Pochettino is determined to land him this summer and he could turn into a huge addition to the squad. A versatile midfielder who can play in more roles than one, Barkley belongs to the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane and in no time, he can turn into a superstar, just like the duo.

The Argentine manager does not have more than two and a half weeks to get his business done and though he might look at other targets before the deadline day, these are two names, with enough Premier League experience, that will have an impact on their squad this season.
