Go For It Mourinho – These Two Players Could Immediately Turn Manchester United Into Title Contenders

Two Players Who Can Turn Manchester United Into An Unbeatable Unit

Manchester United have been shrewd so far this summer and though there have not been many arrivals, the two players who have arrived are of top, top quality. Lukaku and Lindelof were both expensive arrivals and are sure to be first team players for Jose Mourinho next season.

The need to replace the goals and overall contribution by Zlatan Ibrahimovic was dire, and was visible by the intent in the signing of Lukaku. But the United squad lacks quality in other areas too, which Jose Mourinho will have to concentrate on, for a better performance this season. Plenty have been linked with moves to Manchester, and there would be a few ideal signings as United head into the new season.

Signing these two players would make Manchester United make almost unbeatable.

Ivan Perisic

The 28-year-old may not be the first or ideal choice for the fans, but is a great choice on the wings. The Croatian operates on the wings, and despite his pace, strength, positioning and off the ball runs, his strongest ability is his incredible strength with both feet.

Ideally a direct winger, he is also capable of cutting in from the left wing that he prefers to play on. Ivan scored 11 goals from the left wing last season, adding 8 assists in the league, despite Inter’s struggles in the latter part of the campaign, which led to the dismissal of Stefano Pioli. While the price tag of the attacker could be too hefty for a 28-year old, Perisic could add a whole new dimension to Jose Mourinho’s style and be the spark that United needs.

Fabinho

Fabinho, 23, has spent four seasons with Monaco and was instrumental in the team’s rise to league glory last season as he scored 11 goals in 50 matches in all competitions. Fabinho seems to be a classic Jose Mourinho player, with his versatility – having played as a right back, central midfielder, defensive midfielder and also as a central defender over the past two years with Monaco.

Fabinho has the classic Brazillian flair mixed with the European technicality much needed in defenders. With his pace and strength, he is perfect to anchor United’s midfield of Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba. He still has many years left in his prime, much like most of the United squad – a sign of even greater things to come after a calamitous few years.

The Old Trafford has already seen the huge exit of Wayne Rooney to Everton, with Michael Carrick being handed the captain’s armband. So the club needs some high quality arrivals.

Perisic and Fabinho would exactly be those players.
