Go For It Conte – 3 Players Chelsea Could Sign With The £200m War Chest Including Real Madrid Star

Antonio Conte

Three Players Who Antonio Conte Can Target With The £200m War Chest Available To Him This Summer

Antonio Conte’s men have not looked like the Champions of England now that they are in the new campaign and it does not come as a surprise that the manager is still active in the transfer market, searching for players who can add quality to the squad before the deadline day. This has seen him get linked with some of the finest stars in Europe and though he has already spent heavily on new recruits, he is now looking to spend big yet again.

According to a story from the Express, Chelsea are now ready to spend £200m more this summer to make sure that they can defend the league title this season. Here are three players Conte should definitely look to sign with this new war chest.

Virgil van Dijk (Southampton)

The Dutch defender is still not a part of the squad for Southampton and is still not ready to play for the club, having handed in a transfer request earlier this summer. The Saints are adamant that he is not for sale, but with Chelsea ready to splash the cash this late in the summer, Southampton might not be able to keep him for too long. Chelsea have shown some defensive frailties and with a European campaign coming up, he could be the man that can help them take the next step.

Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)

The Welsh international has been unsettled at the club recently and though Real have assured him of his place in the starting XI, the rise of Marco Asensio is sure to push him down the pecking order after one bad performance. It is not the kind of pressure Bale will want to handle and has already been linked with a move to the Stamford Bridge this summer. He will cost an insane amount of money but is a player who will turn Chelsea into genuine contenders for the UCL trophy.

Julian Draxler (PSG)

The German playmaker, who joined PSG from Wolfsburg earlier this year has now fallen prey to PSG’s stunning swoop for Neymar Jr. The Brazilian will leave no place for Draxler in the first team. The German has been linked with a move to the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool. He is one of the most creative players in world football and an attack of Hazard and Draxler on their flank is a formula for success. He will also not cost over the odds, making him a decent option for Chelsea.
