Go For It Chris Hughton – These Two Premier League Players Could Strengthen Brighton Significantly Next Season

Brighton and Hove Albion

Two Premier League Players Who Burnley Must Sign In The Summer

Brighton’s ascent to the Premier League has been a long time coming. The Amex has been somewhat of a fortress for them and they will hope that they can carry it on at a higher level.

To do so, they’ll need to strengthen and although there are some excellent players in the Championship, as well as various European leagues who deserve a crack at the top, they will need some players who are proven. Finding established Premier League players for a reasonable price is incredibly difficult. But the place to look at will possibly be the clubs that are about to be relegated.

Sunderland and Middlesbrough look like they are doomed now, though they do have some useful talent in their squads and Brighton could do worse than enquire about these two:

George Friend

The Middlesbrough left-back has established himself now as a Premier League player and is incredibly unlucky to be going down. Having given 5 years of service and now 29-years-old, Friend would be forgiven for wanting to leave this summer and retain his top level status.

Although he has played only 18 Premier League games, Friend’s average rating of 7.13 on whoscored.com puts him in the top 50 players in the division. Defensively sound; his 2.9 tackles, 2.7 interceptions and 3.7 clearances per game show that he has worked hard at the back.

His 75% passing accuracy and 1 assist prove that he can work well going forward too and he would make a very good addition to the squad at the Amex.
