Go for it Bielsa – This promising 21-year-old would be an outstanding investment for Leeds United

This 21-year-old Swansea starlet would be a brilliant investment for Leeds

Leeds United have been in brilliant form right from the start of the season. While they had a short blip where they lost two games back to back, they have come back from the winter break stronger than ever by recently beating Frank Lampard’s Derby County side 2-0.

They have looked comfortable in all areas of the pitch with main striker Kemar Roofe showing some sublime form. He has scored 14 goals in 21 outings for the Whites so far this season and doesn’t seem to be dropping off either. He scored the opener against Derby after which Leeds looked comfortable throughout the game.

While the build-up play has been quite good all season, one can only imagine how many goals Roofe would score if the supply from the flanks was to improve.

Headers, volleys and little flicks, Roofe is capable of scoring with any of these as long as he is supported with the right kind of ball on a consistent basis. This is where the signing of a young developing winger who is renowned for his crossing will be extremely effective.

According to a report by Wales Online, Leeds are keen on the signature of Welsh winger Daniel James from Swansea City. He is a 21-year-old left-sided player who can cut in and shoot just as well as he can cross from the wide areas. He has a wide array of crosses under his belt and is an exciting prospect for the future.

He is a fast winger who loves to get on the ball and make forward runs. He is usually found sticking to the touchline and enjoys getting chalk on his boots. His quality of movement is obvious while his awareness and defensive work rate make him a good player for the future.

While he is a left winger by trade, he is also capable of playing on the other flank, as a second striker and as a left-back because his attributes are well balanced.

As his good crossing will be a huge asset to Bielsa’s side, Leeds must do everything in their power to purchase the youngster from Swansea at the earliest possible opportunity.
