TRT television reported that Turkish top side Galatasaray have reached an agreement with former Chelsea legend Didier Drogba on an 18-month contract deal.
Drogba left the London club last summer after lifting the Champions League title with them. He joined Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua along with Anelka. Recent reports have suggested that he is unhappy in China and wants to return to Europe.
The 34-year-old Champions league winner was linked with a move to Juventus earlier in the window, but Juventus denied any such moves.
TRT did not give any details of a fee but did say Galatasaray would shortly make an official announcement in their website.
Galatasaray have already made a major statement to all the Europe’s top clubs by already signing Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan earlier this month.
Drogba is currently playing for Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations.
