Schalke’s Netherlands striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been the subject of speculation for some time regarding his transfer situation. However the Dutch man has not yet received any formal offers to leave the club despite rumors of a move to Italy or England in January. According to Sky Sports News, Huntelaar’s agent has played down rumors linking him with Italian giants Juventus as he feels that the player needs time to think about his future and nothing has been decided so far.
“As far as I know the rumours are to be catalogued as rumours and have to stop,” Oosterveer told calciomercato.it.
“There has been nothing concrete from anyone.
“As yet, we have not decided whether to renew with Schalke, but we have not talked to any other clubs either.”
Huntelaar has been linked with London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and Italian club Juventus over the past few months and could have a big decision to make come January when the transfer window reopens.
