Luis Enrique’s Barcelona were back to winning ways this weekend as goals from Rafinha, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi gave them a 4-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna. However, they still find themselves at the 4th place in the points table, 2 points away from the top of the table. They will now turn their attention to a mouth-watering tie in the Champions League when they welcome Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to the Camp Nou on Wednesday. Both teams will be going for a victory which will produce a brilliant game and here is the lineup that Luis Enrique might field for this game:

Team News:

The manager does not have too many injuries to worry about for this game. Full backs Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto both missed the game at the weekend. But the duo are already back in training and are in a race to face Manchester City this week.

 Marc-Andre Ter Stegen:

The German shot-stopper has had his fair share of nervy moments but he is the first choice for the club this season and will start this game against City.

Sergi Roberto:

Thought just returning from injury, Roberto is one of the best players for Enrique to fill in the right back spot and he will start this game for Barcelona.

Gerard Pique:

After a magical evening in the last Champions League outing, Pique will be raring to go and will hope to have a similar impact on the game this week.

Javier Mascherano:

A solid performance at the back in a three-man defense will give Enrique enough confidence to try Pique and Mascherano at the heart of the defense for Barcelona.

Jordi Alba:

The Spaniard is just back in training after picking up an injury on international duty but he will have a huge role to play against Guardiola’s side in the Champions League.

Sergio Busquets:

One of the most important players for Enrique, Busquets will keep his place in the side and will have to be at his best to give his side a shot at all three points from this game.

Ivan Rakitic:

The Croatian has been in decent form this season and will play an important role on the night to give his side a chance to dominate and win over their English rivals.

Iniesta:

Though not starting games regularly, Iniesta should be given a chance to effect this game from the start and should be played in the midfield for Barcelona in this Champions League encounter.

Lionel Messi:

Just back from injury, Messi found the back of the net at the weekend and will have a huge role to play on Wednesday against Manchester City.

Luis Suarez:

Playing an English opponent, Suarez will assume an important role in the side for this game as he will have to stand up to the physical approach that the visitors will bring along with them to the Camp Nou.

Neymar Jr:

The Brazil sensation has been in electric form recently and he will also have to be at his best if Barcelona are to give Pep Guardiola a defeat in the Champions League this week.
