Chelsea has chased Kalidou Koulibaly for most of the transfer window till now but with the deal making no turns and is currently stalled due to various reasons, the Blues have turned their attention to Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
Portuguese media Record has suggested that while Chelsea remain keen to land the Napoli defender Koulibaly, the stubbornness of Napoli has promoted Antonio Conte to take a look at the second option Lindelof. The player made 15 appearances last season for the team and has impressed the fans and the club.
Antonio Conte is keen to bring in defenders considering the fact that club legend John Terry is in his twilight years and will have to pass on the baton to a younger defender. Also the club product Kurt Zouma, who has just dreturned from his long term injury us yet to be fully match fit. Having secured a midfielder and a striker already now Conte has turned his attention to defenders and Lindelof could be the one.
